OPC CDM Standard Funds:

CDM General Fund:

The General Assembly of the OPC requests an annual contribution to the CDM General Fund from each congregation based on the number of its communicant members.
     Churches and individuals may also contribute directly to this Fund.

CDM – Special Relief USA:

The CDM receives contributions to come alongside families going through particularly difficult circumstances.

General Disaster Response Fund:

The General Disaster Response Fund receives contributions from churches and individuals for special ministries that arise due to major disasters

Designated Disaster Response Funds:

Designated Disaster Response Funds may be established to receive donations for specific disasters–such as a hurricane or tornado, etc.

Policies:

While the CDM is committed to utilizing donations designated according to the desire of the donor, should needs expire before the funds are fully expended, the CDM retains the right and responsibility to repurpose remaining funds to other diaconal needs. The CDM is committed to utilizing donations designated for a specific disaster towards that disaster, on occasion a portion of the Designated Fund may remain long after the disaster response effort has concluded.
 
In that circumstance, the CDM has the following policies in place: 
  • Any Designated Disaster Response Funds that remain two years after the date of the disaster may be transferred to the General Disaster Response Fund.
  • Amounts in the General Disaster Response Fund over $50,000 may be transferred to the CDM General Fund.
